Kamauoha Farms Newsletter

March 2007

Kamauoha Farms was created by Kamauoha Foundation - a non-profit organization created to serve the Native Hawaiian community.

In 2006, Kamauoha Farms was awarded the Hawaii Seal of Quality by the State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture.

This means that our Premium North Shore Noni Juice is grown and juiced right here in Hawaii!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

This month of March we're celebrating GREEN!

North Shore Noni Leaf Capsules

Traditionally, Noni leaves have been used as a poultice, bandage, cold compress, and in lomilomi, or Hawaiian massage.  The juices of the noni leaf would work as an analgesic reducing swelling and pain.  Some say the effects of the Noni leaf are more potent than the fruit juice alone.

We are currently having a clearance where we will include a FREE bottle of North Shore Noni Leaf Capsules with each online, phone, or fax order.  This will be automatically added for you to try.  You can keep it yourself or give it to a friend.  Supplies are limited and promotion will end when we run out of clearance items.

If you would like to share with us and others how our North Shore Noni Juice has helped you, your family, and/or pets send us an email.

The Natural Products Expo West 2007 in Anaheim, California was a great success!  We were really happy that many enjoyed our dried pineapple.

We are glad to share a taste of aloha with everyone.  We will be featured in other Trade Shows here in Hawaii and elsewhere this year, and will keep you posted with the details.

Within the next week or so, we will be adding a few new products to our website and will feature them in our next newsletter, so stay tuned.

Mahalo (thank you) for your continuous support for Kamauoha Foundation.

Aloha nui (much love),

Noni Tip
Noni and Sports

Noni has been found to be beneficial for a number of  athletes both amateur and professional.  Noni boosts energy, mental acuity, and is a natural analgesic.  It has been found to be a safe and healthy alternative to steroids according to Dr. Niel Solomon, author of The Noni Sports Phenomenon.

Noni Recipe
Noni Shoyu Marinade

1 cup shoyu
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
8 tbsp noni
1 tbsp grated ginger (optional)

Mix the above ingredients and pour over chicken, spam, or beef in a bowl and let the meat soak in the marinade for about 1-2 hours (depending on the thickness of the meat) before cooking.  You can also fry the meat directly in the marinade.

Polynesians often wrap fish and chicken with noni leaves or kalo (taro) leaves then wrap that with ki (ti) leaves before cooking it in the imu (underground oven).  Today, tin foil is often substituted for ki leaves, and conventional ovens are often used when an imu is unavailable.
